Never smile at a crocodile...

Trusting someone is like carrying a sword. The sheath may protect you, but the blade remains sharp.
I must admit, people are all-too eager to take advantage of those whom they see as being 'less informed.' it's happened to me on a number of occasions. sometimes i'll ask a question that i already know the answer to, and that's when people show me how painfully dishonest they can be. works (almost) every time. i have a real problem being lied to. the lie may already be several days or weeks old, but i'll carry it with me and wait for the right moment to confront someone with it. maybe it's some way that i present myself, but people continuously try to pull the wool over my eyes. have you ever seen a crocodile sleep? trust it a little, and let me know how that works out.

If you HAVE to leave a party, always take a traveller...

Going to Chicago in about a week... already establishing contacts... recruiting new members... sinking in the fangs...

Hopefully, you've found your way home...

People sometimes ask me what i do for a living (Caroline, Aug 25th) and simply say that i sell toy soldiers. If any of you have any suggestions that are equally as simple and profound, i'd love to hear them.

Twist and turn...burn, burn, burn.

I was talking with Sheri last night about the fact that, for me, life has seemed to have split into 3 parts. perhaps this blog will serve to congeal those parts into one complete mess. At least it's only one mess, however. That's easier to keep track of.

To do:

1. I should really go to Boris's place tonight.

2. Need to call Gena to make sure she's ok--i'm so thrilled that we're both going through similarly horrible circumstances. misery truly loves company. we both love the fact that we're equally distrought, and yet can 'safely' talk to each other.

3. Call my sister (the one I do have) to see how she's doing.

Oh. I'll be spinning at the full moon next Thursday. Already picking out the set list. Highlights will include the cure, some older Echo & the Bunnymen, Siouxsie, the Teardrop Explodes, Joy Division, etc.

that's all for now...
