Swayden blood daubed vine...

This week I've learned that there are two sides to every city, person, company, etc. "J" told me about some strange little communities that exist in my new back yard, and while I'm intrigued, I remain a little uncomfortable with regards to my potential participation. Echoes of past business relationships that went awry, nasty little extracurricular activities that should never be brought into the light of day, and so on. Must speak with "G" about this stuff, as she is likely to have insight. Lost in a forest, all alone...

Everything counts in large amounts...

Still in Chicago for another 2 weeks. Here, perception is reality. Anywhere else, it's crap. We make toy soldiers, how hard can this really be?
On another note, it's time to circle the wagons at home and visit some people. "G" is first on the list, she and I need a chance to exchange stories of the sacred and profane. Stay tuned...

That which passes, passes like clouds

"History is on the move. Those who cannot keep up will be left behind to watch from a distance. Those who stand in my way will not watch at all."

A great quote which speaks both of change and vision. One must be willing to adapt and change in order to keep true to one's vision. Huge change going on in my life and my hobby of 'collecting people' is proving valuable. I've learned something valuable this week which warrants mention: regardless of the amount of change that takes place in my life, it is people that make things in my life a success or failure. the rest is just details. More to come on this, as my tour of duty in Chicago presses on.

The Decadent Host...

We're back after a short break. My apologies for not turning my DJ set at the Full Moon last night, had a slight case of overexhaustion. Some tidbits in the wake of the past few...

* happy birthday courtney
* good luck in NY, christine
* call me back, Halle
* the shoes are fine
* for those in new orleans who think they have it bad, wait until they relocate you to Houston!
